About the role

Based at our Lynwood Quarry, the Quarry Manager will be accountable for the supply aggregates, road base & specialised rock products. This key role will be responsible for all aspects of the Lynwood Operations.

You will build and develop a motivated quarry team to achieve company safety, environmental and financial targets, whilst complying with statutory regulations and Holcim policies and or guidelines. You will lead a team who produce product that is fit for purpose, meets business forecasts and customer expectations, and engage with the local community and manage our operations that meet both regulatory and community expectations.

With a prime accountability for Health, Safety and the Environment, you will also be accountable for budgeting & production targets, customer & community relations, quality compliance, crushing & screening, drill & blast, maintenance, stockpiling, load out & quarry development.

The position will be required to work closely with other operations in the business to develop strategies and deliver operational goals for the region.

About you
  • A strong culture of safety leadership and a working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent people management & communication skills.
  • Experience in budgeting & managing a P&L.
  • Have strong customer focus and be able to work well with sales and technical teams to deliver key business objectives.
  • Experience in a similar sized quarry management role.
  • Practical crushing and screening experience is essential.
  • Quarry Manager certificate of competency
  • Shot Firer’s Ticket
  • A thorough understanding of Drill & Blast and quarry development.
  • Experience with CRM system desirable
  • Experience with Australian Standards and RMS specifications
  • Understand Chain of Responsibility requirements.
