Helping our customers understand the technology and transformation journey that is required and advising on the best course of action and how to get there is the role of the Advisory and Enterprise Architecture team.
We currently have an opportunity for a Solution Advisor – Hybrid IT to join our Pointnext Advisory and Enterprise Architecture team. Reporting to the Manager - Advisory and Enterprise Architecture, this role is responsible for providing business and/or technical advisory for assigned account(s) by championing HPE solutions.
Key focus areas are:
Developing and supporting digital transformation roadmaps, that map customer business requirements into complete information systems (technologies, processes, and people) or operational solutions.
Architecting hybrid cloud solutions to establish highly functional and optimised hosting environments.
Establishing best practice application hosting and modernisation strategies to provide customers with simplified and highly efficient applications hosting platforms
Support customers by promoting the transition to consumption-based economics and aaS offerings
Key Responsibilities:
Work with clients and HPE sales to build client digital transformation opportunities focusing on Hybrid IT & cloud, application modernisation and consumption-based services.
With experience grounded in infrastructure you will have in depth knowledge of Hybrid IT including multi cloud solutions, data integration & intelligence platforms and edge compute leveraging IoT. Building on this knowledge you will need to understand software layer concepts and technologies including hypervisors, containers, automation and orchestration tools and other integration capabilities
Understand the client’s business requirements and current state operating methods and be able to identify and clearly articulate the gaps that need addressing
Spearhead the HPE effort for the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global digital transformation initiatives that span multiple technologies and disciplines
Identify potential customer risks and challenges associated with their digital initiatives against other client efforts or projects (use of internal knowledge of organization; trusted advisor relationship) and advise accordingly
Align customer requirements with HPE capabilities and solutions that quickly deliver meaningful transformation benefits back to the customer
Develop and maintain knowledge of the customer’s industry, trends, emerging technologies, methodologies, competitors and company’s strategy and solutions which apply to a particular industry trend or vertical market
Identify where and how HPE can add value to customer’s processes, or redesign the way that they operate
Perform consultancy and requirements gathering to document the business needs and objectives
Be able to articulate the value of digital transformation, both in how it will improve the way the customer does business and to control costs
Document the proposed transformation plan and prepare presentations that clearly describe the solution, benefits, and value in a presales/SME capacity
Develop overall financial model for the solution by working with development, operations and third parties. Input pricing data in conjunction with the Operations, Professional Services and Sales
Be able to articulate different financial models that show basic metrics including consumption-based economics (HPE GreenLake), return on investment and payback periods
Actively participate in post implementation reviews and promote the ‘lessons learned’ to achieve improved systems, processes, procedures, and best practices
To be successful in this role you will have:
Strong team skills including the ability to lead
Expert level written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrable experience in an advisory or consulting capability including, presenting, white boarding, objection handling, and closing skills
Knowledge of how the industry uses IT to address business challenges, drawing on technical standards and infrastructure, cross-industry trends that impact IT investment, industry-specific roadmaps, and IT enablers etc.
Has pulse on future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support customer business directions ("trusted advisor" role)
Demonstrable work experience designing, architecting, implementing, and operating multiple Cloud computing platforms
Ability to lead the definition of contracts or Statements of Works for large enterprise or global level solutions that span multiple technologies or operational areas
Lead in identifying, qualifying, and closing large, complex opportunities
Develop and deliver sales presentations at senior decision-making levels
The ability to work autonomously & meet KPIs
