The Person:

We’re looking for a proactive, independent, enthusiastic team member eager to be part of a larger group delivering a high quality and complex service to our Government customer. You’ll bring expertise developed over 3+ years in a similar role, and previous experience working on a Government account would be an advantage. Your ability to work with other members of the client management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our customer is critical to your success and the success of our SAM Service. As part of the role you will provide quality customer service enhancements in optimising the SAM Service, planning the service implementation, championing the delivery of the service and processes, and verification and continued maintenance of the SAM Service. An existing Baseline Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one is a must.

In this role you will work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Service Delivery Managers. Essentially, the Software Asset Management Analyst will:

  • Act as SAM Subject Matter Expert for the account
  • Ensure effective and smooth delivery of our customer’s SAM services
  • Manage the relationship with the customer
  • Contribute to the achievement of the outcomes of the contract
  • Support the Operational processes to deliver the SAM service
The Role:
  • Ensure that SAM plans, processes and procedures are delivered incorporating good practise methodologies, accurately documented, successfully implemented, appropriately communicated to customer’s stakeholders, and provide input to Continuous Service Improvement opportunities for our customers.
  • You are a key contributor to the management of the Software Asset Lifecycle for our customers. This includes identifying the software inventory, capturing license entitlements, performing ongoing software compliance checks, and remediation as appropriate.
  • Manage, maintain, and facilitate the renewal of software maintenance by validating the renewal details to ensure the information is correct and valid and also update FNMS with the new licensing details.
  • Facilitate software procurement for the account including working with Datacom’s internal teams to source the relevant quotes, ensure Purchase Orders are raised and approved in a timely manner.
  • Review current software Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to ensure the account is not exposed to any breaches or Compliance risks.
  • Provide quality customer service through adherence to Datacom’s IT Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
  • Experience in using SAM technologies and their capabilities, in particular, FlexNet Manager Suite.
  • Interpret the data outputs from the SAM technologies and provide accurate reporting.
  • Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and team briefings with the broader Datacom SAM team
