Detailed Description
The Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) is large and complex with six schools, research centres, engineering laboratories, IT laboratories and a large technical workshop. The Professional Education Unit is responsible for managing the strategy, development, promotion and administration of short-course and in-company training programs delivered by FEIT's schools, centres and academics.
The Associate Project Manager identifies, establishes, manages and develops opportunities for UTS FEIT engagement with industry and the public resulting in the growth of the faculty's professional education and short-course portfolio and transition to a model of lifelong learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Communicating and consulting with new and existing industry and government partners to develop an understanding of their digital transformation and general professional education needs in the engineering and IT space
- Developing proposals for professional education offerings to meet these needs
- Communicating and consulting with academics to develop course proposals and business cases supported by desk-based market research
- Ensuring documentation and reporting of engagement opportunities, course proposals and business cases is up-to-date and easily and transparently accessed by project stakeholders
- Supporting the administrative workflow (invoicing, logistics, pre- and post-course communication) for courses conducted both at UTS FEIT and on-site for industry partners
1. Proven ability to work with limited supervision
2. Proven ability to organize, prioritize and present data and information related to project progress
3. Proven ability to build relationships and positive rapport with a range of stakeholders
4. Knowledge of the Australian private education and training market
5. Knowledge of best practices in educational program design, development and administration
6. Experience coordinating or managing projects
7. Experience working in private education or training provision or publishing
Remuneration/Salary
Base Salary: $91,873 to $101,633 pa (HEW 7) (pro-rated)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
