JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Lead Risk Advisor you will support the Head of Enterprise and Operational Risk in delivering high quality risk advice and challenge to other areas of CUA and its subsidiaries. You will support one to two divisions as they actively manage risks and incidents in the first line of defence, which includes providing second line assurance over key controls.

You will ensure that your divisions are actively escalating and managing risk in accordance with the policies and standards of our organisation. You also support our Enterprise Risk Committee as Secretariat, CRO Reporting processes and lead the risk culture and engagement initiatives.

Essential Experience
  • Significant experience in a risk management and compliance role, preferably with expertise in coordinating and supporting active risk management by the first line teams
  • Experience in dealing with business management, operational risk, technology risk, project, product or process management issues in a financial or related institution
  • Experience in managing and influencing multi-faceted stakeholders (internal and external) in order to meet competing priorities and non-aligned expectations
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good practices in operational risk management
  • Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations
  • Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
