Our client sits within the Parliamentary Triangle and is responsible for delivering communications and supporting changing developments within Australia’s central political portfolios. As a member of a central agency, you will be responsible for liaising with State and Local Government, private sector stakeholders, and the general public.

The Opportunity

Initial 3 + 6 month contracts with further extension options available, working with a Policy Reform Taskforce as part of a highly motivated National Communications and campaigns team.

The Role

The roles would be part of a small team developing and implementing a communications campaign to support the policy reforms so the selected candidate will be required to be flexible, adaptable to changing circumstances and able to work effectively in a team.

• Supporting two senior strategic communications advisers to deliver an above and below the line communications campaign to support implementation of the reforms.
• The role will be varied and involve a range of strategic communications and contract management activities including communications strategy development and implementation, content development and promotion.

Your Background and Experience

The successful candidates will come from a similar or transferable role in Federal Government and have a strong understand of APS processes through participation in:

• Government campaign advertising experience
• Proven communications strategy development and implementation skills
• Experience managing content development.
• Contract management and procurement experience
• Must be an Australian Citizen to apply, ideally Baseline security cleared.

Salary / Rate

• Hourly rate offered for 37.5hr/ week, flexibility available.
• Expected pay rate $54 – $83/hr

• 3+6 month contracts with further extensions available
