Tryzens is looking for a Sales Director to join our Australia team in either our Melbourne or Sydney office.

Reporting to the SVP Commercial, the Sales Director - ANZ will be responsible for selling Tryzens’ portfolio of digital commerce services into the retail sector. This includes developing and maintaining a target list of potential clients, out-bound prospecting to develop a pipeline of opportunities, creating proposals, pitching to potential new clients, and closing new business for the company.

The Sales Director should have a strong understanding of digital commerce and a proven track record driving end-to-end sales processes from initiation to closure. While Tryzens has experienced rapid growth in ANZ, the culture remains entrepreneurial so someone who is self-motivated with high energy will be best suited to this exciting role.

You will likely have an agency, professional service Sales/BD or CX tech sales background and have been working with the retail/consumer goods industry. A key requirement is to work collaboratively with our platform partners to identify, plan and execute the pursuit of opportunity in the market.


Business Development

  • Work with and expand current prospect database within specified business sectors to generate effective leads & exceed sales targets for the business.
  • Develop a sales contact plan to include out-bound prospecting, cold-calling, attending industry events to build relationships with key prospects, and sending out targeted marketing material.
  • Respond to incoming Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a professional and creative manner.
  • Understand a prospect’s business needs and work with the expert teams in the business to develop a tailored digital solutions proposal.
  • Creating and delivering innovative sales presentations to pitch to Director & C-level
  • Work collaboratively with e-commerce platform vendors, specifically Salesforce and Adobe (Magento), to generate new opportunities and drive sales campaigns.
  • Network within Tryzens’ ecosystem of 3rd parties solution suppliers.
  • Represent Tryzens at industry events, including round tables, speaking forums, and new business events
  • Work closely with Marketing to identify appropriate go-to-market messaging for specific business sectors.
Knowledge Sharing, Learning & Development
  • Take personal responsibility for staying informed and up to date with industry trends and themes.
  • Work closely with Tryzens’ client services, operations, technical, and implementation teams to demonstrate our credentials and expertise in new business engagements and pitches
  • Adopt the performance management scheme by setting objectives, participating in performance reviews, and building a personal development plan.
  • Contribute to the learning environment by identifying areas where there is potential for learning and building knowledge with others.
Professional Requirements
  • Proven track record of consultative selling and consistently meeting sales targets.
  • A comprehensive understanding of digital and e-commerce solutions.
  • A sound understanding/experience of working with Retailers and Consumer Product Brands.
  • Experience responding to formal RFIs & RFPs for large brand & retail businesses.
  • Experience selling to the C-suite, together with Heads of E-Commerce and Marketing.
  • Experience working with software vendors and other 3rd parties to develop and close collaborative and co-ordinated sales campaigns.
  • Experience developing effective tactical marketing strategies to support pipeline development.
  • An understanding of CRM solutions for lead generation and sales pipeline management
