JOB DESCRIPTION
The Role
The purpose of the Business Customer Support Analyst role is to administer systems and processes in support of the wider Business Customer Support Team. The team are responsible for managing all files which are deemed problem loans.
Key Responsibilities
- To apply banking best practice procedures, processes and work practices in the support and turnaround of distressed commercial and agribusiness loans
- Assist with exposures on the Watchlist
- Assist in the preparation of strategies for the management of individual exposures
- Compliance with policy and procedures and statutory and legal requirements in all matters
- Maintain effective and congenial communications with the various Banking & Wealth divisions and respond to all enquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Ensure effective and efficient turnaround and resolutions that balance the Bank's business focus, reputational risk and returns within the framework of our regulatory obligations
- Assist with the management and administration of the Bank's Default and Recoveries System (DRS), the Watchlist requirements and associated transfers in and out of DRS
- Previous banking or lending experience is required
- Previous office administration experience
- Previous commercial/agribusiness/property experience
- An understanding of the legal and regulatory framework regarding corporations and insolvency
- Industry knowledge and understanding of various industry requirements and benchmarks
- Sound ability to analyse financial matters and legal documents
- Understanding or experience in dealing with distressed borrowers
