JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity to join a recently created team within Group Risk Information Delivery, which sits in the wider Risk Metrics and Measurement (RMM) function. The team are responsible for BAU management/oversight of certain wholesale regulatory reporting returns (e.g. ARF 221 Large Exposures, ARF 230 Commercial Property and ARF 741/742 EFS reporting), uplifting controls and streamlining processes across a wider range of wholesale regulatory reporting activities and responding to ad hoc reporting requests from senior management.
The wider RMM function includes a broad range of interesting teams such as Capital and Provisioning Analytics, Risk Projects, Credit Risk Modelling, Stress Testing and Forecasting, Data and Infrastructure and Risk Systems. Success in the advertised role could open further opportunities for a rewarding career in RMM.
Key responsibilities for the Manager, Group Risk Information Delivery include:

  • BAU oversight of regulatory reporting deliverables for some wholesale lending returns
  • Enhancing/simplifying regulatory reporting processes utilising automated techniques and systems to improve operational effectiveness and risk management practices, whilst maintaining compliance with prudential requirements
  • Responding to ad hoc reporting requests from senior management
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across risk, business and finance to ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and that APRA delegates are comfortable with the numbers they are signing off
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Quantitative degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential
  • Strong data analysis, SQL/SAS and VBA programming skills are essential
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Able to work under tight schedules and consistently meet objectives
  • Understanding of credit risk metrics or experience in regulatory reporting is essential
  • Proven track record of simplifying processes using automation
  • Knowledge of any of the following systems/data stores including: RAy, RAZOR, HFM, EDW, CAP or CACHE
  • Comfortable working directly with senior management
