FLAVOUR ASSISTANT - FIRMENICH

This is a golden opportunity to secure a local role (based in Balgowlah on the Northern Beaches) where you will be provided with the opportunity to apply your experience and knowledge in food technology in a quality driven lab environment.

In this role you will contribute to the success of the lab team by:

• Assisting the Flavourist in compounding samples according to the formulations and guidelines
• Ensuring that there is sufficient stock of raw materials for compounding is available at all times.
• Keeping the laboratory clean and hygienic
• Ensuring calibration of weighing balances is maintained
• Ensuring correct handling and disposal of raw materials in alignment with risk and safety requirements
• Ensure that the laboratory inventory records are maintained and up to date
• Supporting and participating in flavour evaluation and library collection build up

To secure this role you will ideally possess:

• Bachelors Degree in Food Science/technology
• 1 years experience in a food laboratory environment
• High level of attention to detail
• Well developed organisational skills and enjoy working in a technical/research driven environment
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work in a small high performing team
