The Role

The Cyber Security arhcitect is responsible for the design of cyber security controls that includes technology infrastructure, applications and broader systems. This role is also responsible to provide strategic direction, tactical management, and cyber resilience strategies meet business objectives and regulatory requirements including PCIDSS and Privacy. You will need a solid foundation in security & governance in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in designing appropriate cyber security controls using architecture principals that follow industry best practices
  • Lead in establishing appropriate cyber security design and architecture governance framework and processes in determining information and data flow are authorized and conform to security policy and standards.
  • Lead a security by design vision across projects and programs.
  • Identify and report on security control deficiencies or gaps using appropriate enterprise risk management frameworks and processes
  • Lead in assessing and deploying processes and technologies to be used in order to deal with emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and compliant to Privacy and PCI-DSS requirements
  • Own the enterprise security solutions design and work with the project delivery teams
  • Lead engagements with key business and technology stakeholders to capture business requirements
  • Lead in designing and overseeing implementation of controls to detect suspect activity indicative of the actions of an attacker attempting to breach the system boundary or other deviation from normal business behavior
  • Lead in enforcing technical security architecture principals by using risk based assessments to determine the strength and appropriateness of control mechanisms in mitigating risks.
  • Influence, communicate and work with senior stakeholders, to ensure they can make risk based decisions.
  • Lead in development of security knowledge and expertise in the form of worked solutions to commonly encountered security problems
  • Provide specialist knowledge and direction on security architecture roadmaps and capability gaps, based on knowledge gleaned from project and business stakeholder engagements
  • Contribute to production and maintenance of relevant security architecture documentation and knowledgebase

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong technical experience and working multiple security domains
  • Experience with compliance PCIDSS highly desirable
  • Lead in designing appropriate cyber security controls using architecture principals
