The Company

The organisation are a friendly and supportive non for profit based organisation in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. This position does call for someone that can work in the office 5 days per week but offices are easily accessible from all major CBD public transport links. The company are growing which means they can offer progression, variety and challenge. Full training will be provided.

The Role

You will work under a Financial Controller for this 12 month fixed term contract. The role then has a good chance of becoming permanent given the growth the organisation are experiencing currently.

This position encompasses not just accounts payable processing but also the chance to help the organisation improve their processes and procedures.

Some typical duties will involve:

  • Helping with end-to-end accounts payable processing
  • Complex supplier statement reconciliations
  • Liaising with Operations and Directors to seek relevant approvals
  • Actively identifying areas for process improvement and driving change
  • Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Manager

This is an exciting position which provides a rare chance to actually impact on changes to processes and procedures. You will get exposure to various stakeholders across the organisation.

Your Profile

You will have a background in accounts payable with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

  • Strong accounts payable experience
  • Prior experience driving process change and streamlining processes
  • Happy to commit to a 12 month fixed contract
  • Prior exposure to ERP systems
  • Warm, friendly personality
  • Good excel skills
