Nobody knows what’s going to happen or when, but it is our job to deal with that, so our customers don’t have to.

The Role

The journey all starts with our Inbound Customer Service Specialists responsible for our AAMI Customer Service, sales and retention needs. From Sam and Kate who have just moved into their first home to Martin who has finally saved enough and bought his dream motor bike, our specialists ask the right questions to find the products that suit our customers best.

Right now, our Narre Warren office is looking for new work from home sales and service superstars and if you think you are up to the task to make our customers feel lucky that they’re with AAMI, please read on!

Key Responsibilities

Receiving a high volume of calls regarding multiple insurance products you will…

  • Deliver a seamless customer experience on various insurance products that provides value for our customers
  • Identifying the appropriate insurance policies to meet customer requirements
  • Achieve customer sales, service and retention targets set for all customer segments
  • Advocate customer propositions to create value for customers through products and services under multiple brands across banking, wealth, life, personal and commercial insurance

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will need:

  • To build and develop customer relationships through strong customer service and a willingness to exceed expectations
  • Experience in a sales role with the ability to follow a compliant sales process
  • Achieve service and sales targets, with a proven track record
  • Good problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Computer literacy and navigation skills
  • Work autonomously in a work from home environment
  • Australian Residency, citizenship or eligibility to work permanently in Australia.
  • Home phone line installed in the working room, internet connection, desktop PC or Laptop with second screen and a home office set up.
  • You must live within 35 minutes of our Narre Warren hub

Working Hours & Training:

  • 7 weeks full time training to start. Training hours are Monday-Friday 8.30-4.30pm 

We have multiple flexible part time opportunities, working 25 or 30 hours per week. Available shift options are below:

Option 1 – 25 hours per week | 5 hours per day - Monday to Friday, starting window between 2pm – 5pm

Option 2 – 30 hours per week | 6 hours per day - Monday to Friday, starting window between 9am – 11am

Option 3 – 30 hours per week | 7.5 hours per day, 4 days per week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, starting window between 8am – 11am
