About The Role-

  • Role Location- 839 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne
  • Role Type- Permanent, Full-time

Our purpose? To deliver leading Fraud, Financial Crime, Reg Tech and Collections services, which support our customers across our Australia and Institutional Divisions, and enable ANZ to meet its customer, risk, regulatory and compliance obligations.

As an Engineer you will be contributing to the accomplishment of the Squad’s mission by designing, building, unit-testing and supporting Financial Crime implementations used within our Tribe. You’ll partner closely with our Anti Money Laundering (AML) platform squad to understand the requirements and ensure the delivery of work meets customer expectations.

  • Good Understanding of Financial Crime Business Domain, particularly in the area of Anti Money Laundering
  • Experience in working directly with the financial crime business team in understanding their requirements when responding to regulatory/compliance demands and being able to assess what is technically possible to meet these demands on our financial crime platforms
  • Experience in working on Financial Crime Platforms like NetReveal, Falcon, Hunter
  • Direct experience in the delivery of platform upgrades (ideally NetReveal)
  • Engineering Experience in building and supporting applications in Java, JavaScript,Node.JS
  • Engineering Experience in Docker or containerization technology stack added advantage.
  • Good understanding or experience of windows/UNIX scripting skills & DB skills like SQL, Oracle
  • Experience with working on PostgreSQL and JBOSS is highly desirable
  • Ability to triage and diagnose defects/issues across the whole infrastructure (Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, storage etc …)
  • Knowledge of DevOps will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge and Expertise about Continuous Monitoring Tech Stack like New Relic, Splunk, DynaTrace desirable
  • Experience with the design and execution of the data migration of large volumes of data is expected
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence etc) are nice to have.
  • Have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the Tech Area
  • Mixture of functional and technical skills where requirements can be driven/reviewed with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills strong problem resolving capability and ability to handle complex trade-off decisions.
  • Experience with working operations and architecture squads for building scalable & supportable application.
  • Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality applications that delight customers
  • Soft Skill abilities-
    • Working with Managed Services resources
    • Good communication skills, comfortable to be working with a cross-campus squad
    • Assist the development of others
    • Understand customer needs to make sound judgments
    • Be comfortable working with Stakeholders in different geographies
    • Leverage skills and knowledge from your colleagues when required

You might also have the following specialised skills-
  • Experience is Groovy Scripting and Knowledge of Dev Ops Automation tools, such as Bamboo, Udeploy, Artifactory, Jenkins etc.
  • Knowledge of WAS 8.5.5.x onwards.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL Databases like Couchbase
  • Containerization, Docker or Google Kubernetes Platform
