ICE Maintain is a division of ICE Engineering & Construction Pty Ltd, a South Australian based Electrical and Instrumentation constructor that operates nationally.

ICE Maintain provides specialised industrial support services to the Renewables Industry, Wind and Solar Sectors.


ICE Maintain is seeking suitably qualified Mechanical Fitters with wind turbine install & construction experience to join our ICE Maintain Team.

For this role the Candidate will be able to undertake the following:

  • Assemble, install / construct WTG's (preferably Goldwind)
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary HSE regulations relating to the role and site

Must have's:

  • Current Working at Heights training (completed within 2 years) 
  • Current Tower Rescue / Vertical Rescue
  • Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
  • Current First Aid training 
  • OHS Construction Induction White Card
  • Current Driver’s Licence (able to drive a manual vehicle)
  • 2-3 years’ experience in construction / installation of wind towers
  • Current National Police Check 
  • Availability to start immediately
  • Ability to undertake and pass a full medical within 7 days

What we’re looking for:

  • Goldwind WTG experience highly regarded, but not essential
  • Candidates with the correct qualifications, the right attitude and work ethic.
  • Candidates that will work well in a team or autonomously.
  • WTG installation / construction experience (at least 2-3 years) 
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • A commitment to working safely
  • Excellent self-management skills
  • Candidates who have the ability to lead if required, and able to use their own initiative.
  • A “can do” attitude aligned to our culture and values
  • Previous MCC experience on wind farms (preferable, but not essential)
  • GWO training (preferred, but not essential)
  • Willingness to work away on roster in other various locations across Australia
