JOB DESCRIPTION

ICE Engineering and Construction, part of the E&A Limited group of companies, is a specialist Electrical and Instrumentation Installation company that operates in the Heavy Industrial sectors.

Due to operational requirements we have an immediate need for an experienced HSE Officer to look after the day to day safety management of our team and processes at our Olympic Dam Site.

An overview of the position details are as follows:

  • The role is for a HSE Officer required for Olympic Dam
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Possible Day Shift or Night Shift HSE may be required
  • Local or FIFO from Adelaide
  • Camp accommodation

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current Driver’s Licence (able to drive manual vehicle)
  • White Card
  • Effective communication skills
  • Cert IV in Occ Health & Safety
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (not mandatory buy highly advantageous)
  • Drugs of Abuse Testing HLTPAT005 (preferable but not essential)
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and be organised
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with others
  • Previously BHP Olympic Dam inducted personnel - not mandatory but will be highly regarded 
  • Must be able to complete a full medical immediately

  • Tertiary qualifications in safety, quality and/or environmental science
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction industry
  • Advanced PC and computing skills (MS Office)
  • Knowledgeable experience with Mining and Minerals Projects is preferred
  • Strong adherence of Australian codes and standards
  • Experience in the implementation of HSE management systems
  • Basic Understanding of Electrical systems
  • Understanding of Heavy Lifting requirements
