JOB DESCRIPTION
Become a mentor and help out with girls' classes that teach empowerment, confidence and resilience. If you are a Uni student of Education, Psychology or Social Studies/Sciences this is a very useful way to get work experience teaching and working with children. Job duties: You will be helping the girls when they first arrive to get settled in.
During the classes it will be your job to assist with handing things out, making sure everyone is settled, showing the girls to the bathroom, helping with group work that they do together and participating in the fun fitness part, group discussions and mindfulness activities. I promise this will be fun for all involved. It is a very meaningful way to spend time and make connections with our community and learn some new things along the way.
I am also happy to support you in your endeavors at Uni and if you do a great job I would love to write a letter of recommendation for you and be a reference. It is an unpaid role but loads of valuable work experience can be gained in this role.
