The role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Global Express Division based in Mackay. Working Monday to Friday on the afternoon/pm shift, you will effectively manage freight operations to meet demands safely and efficiently. This role is critical with optimising profitability, business efficiency and achieving daily KPI’s with a strong customer focus.

As the Operations Supervisor, you will:

  • Effectively supervise Air Network freight to meet operational and customer demands.
  • Ensure late freight is collected, sorted, and distributed accordingly.
  • Lead by example by proactively demonstrating Toll safety behaviours and standards.
  • Manage team member performance and conduct, including leave requirements, absenteeism, and associated matters.
  • Manage labour to maintain productivity and budget requirements.
  • Comply with reporting requirements for Toll whilst maintaining accuracy of data.


About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role within the Transport/Logistics industry.
  • Proven experience with managing teams and conflict resolution.
  • Current forklift and MR License – beneficial.
  • The ability to lead, train and mentor staff to meet organizational KPI’s in a safe and effective manner.
  • Sound knowledge of HSE legislation and regulatory requirements – WHS legislation and COR.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and commitment to Continuous Improvement.
  • Capability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite, MS Office Teams and Zoom.
