JOB DESCRIPTION

About You

An excellent opportunity exists for a hands on Maintenance Officer / Handyman to work at our Retirement Living Heidelberg. 

You will use your all-round handyman skills and eye for detail to maintain all facets of our facility. You will be required to coordinate the day to day implementation of maintenance works including liaising with external tradesmen and contractors.

This role may involve travel to another site in Preston, a driver's licence and fully insured and maintained vehicle is an essential requirement of this role. A trade qualification or background is preferred but not essential, however all round handyman skills are required.

Key Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience in repairs and maintenance
  • Proven ability to manage and complete jobs in a set period with limited supervision
  • Can do attitude
  • Be competent in the use of basic hand and power tools
  • Have basic safety knowledge related to the transportation of tools, materials, and work pieces in and around work areas
  • Have a clear understanding of safe Work Health & Safety practices
  • Provide fast and efficient service for maintenance requests
