This is a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Bar Duty Manager to join a progressive, inclusive and supportive team who truly value their employees and provides fantastic customer service to the surrounding friendly community. You will be reporting to the Bar Manager where you be responsible for the service of alcohol, providing assistance in the management of the bar and counter areas and assist the Bar Manager with compliance with relevant legislation and Council Policies.

The Tavern Shell Cove is a function of The Links Shell Cove situated on a unique and picturesque golf course in Shellharbour. The Tavern operation hours are 10:00am to midnight, Monday to Sunday.

It is the perfect meeting place for family and friends to get together in a relaxed atmosphere combined with fantastic service, bringing the community together and making the Tavern a home away from home.

We have the freshest beer, attentive staff, great tasting food, all of this wrapped inside a relaxed atmosphere with sublime surrounding views.

The Tavern at Shell Cove is an enterprise of Shellharbour City Council, who offers a high performing and sustainable organisation to deliver outcomes for the community through leadership, collaboration and innovation.   • Fixed term 6 month position, 38 hours per week
  • Base salary up to $1,142.59 per week, plus weekend penalties are paid in addition to the ordinary rate of pay for Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday hours
  • 9.5% superannuation

What we need from you:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Motivation to not just work the business but DRIVE the business
  • A welcoming, friendly and professional appearance
  • Good product knowledge, Cocktail experience preferred but not essential
  • Solid gaming knowledge (You must know how to fix basic CRT & lock-up errors)
  • Experience with Global would be an advantage
  • Current RSA & RCG
  • Understanding of liquor laws and COVID19 restrictions
  • Experience in cellar operations
  • Proven ability to deliver successful hospitality promotions and events
