About The Role

: Work within a team of knowledgeable and supportive therapists and registered behaviour support practitioners including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, special educators and social workers. Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence based, individualised services across a range of settings within specified regions. Work with individuals on the autism spectrum through individualised school, home and community based programs. Build capacity of families, care givers and the broader community to develop the strengths of each individual and to promote and encourage engagement within their community. .

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Tertiary qualification in your discipline
  • Fully registered with AHPRA (Occupational Therapists and Psychologists) or eligibility for membership with AASW (for Social Workers)
  • Experience in PBS is preferred and alignment to PBS is required
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to engage and empathise with individuals (preferably on the autism spectrum) and their families and carers
  • Understanding of best practice assessment and intervention to tailor supports to meet the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families or carers
  • Outstanding organisational, communication, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate the delivery of service from entry to exit as well as recording and reporting service information
  • Ability to empower others to implement and maintain strategies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Superior customer service approach
  • Current valid driver’s licence and use of own vehicle for business purposes
  • Willingness to travel to community settings across the regional area allocated
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance for paid employment
  • Working With Children Check clearance or equivalent state check for paid employment
  • Responding To Abuse & Neglect Training certificate (South Australia only)
  • Current first aid qualification, CPR and anaphylaxis certificate (preferred)
Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ is also required. . You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
