YOUR ROLE

Working alongside a strong Executive Leadership team and reporting directly into the Managing Director of Australia – New Zealand the Vice President of Ground Transport will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Ground Transport business of CEVA Logistics. The role has accountability for fleet operations, driver safety, commercial activities, asset management and various other initiatives in support of the business strategic plan. Additionally, the Vice President of Ground Transport is required to develop and execute strategies that drive growth, increase profitability and provide critical leadership support to its employees.

You will possess a strong desire to successfully lead, manage and inspire your direct and indirect reports across Australia and New Zealand who are also engaged and focused on achieving business outcomes and goals.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Leading the investment, resources, budgeting, allocation and/or management of the P&L/resource management of a strategically large market, discipline or global operations.
  • Providing leadership and direction across the group in the development and alignment of strategies and programs business and function results.
  • Providing leadership to senior management in establishing function goals and strategies within the parameters of the relevant business plans.
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of communication regarding strategies, programs and initiatives with stakeholders, managers, and employees, customers for awareness, understanding, implementation and management and being delivered and are met.
  • Leading the executive oversight of plans, strategies, internal and external customers, trends and information channels, evaluating performance, resolving challenges, and integrating future plans and strategies.
  • Determining appropriate functional and operational best practices and improvements to develop the culture, employee and leadership performance and retention of Ground Transport team across the ANZ platform.
  • Leading the review to ensure staff and resources are efficient and effective to achieve desired operational, resource and quality levels; interacts and assists leaders on escalated needs or concerns.
  • Ensuring the development, implementation and interpretation of related policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives legal guidance and interpretation when required to ensure financial compliance.
  • Leading the executive management of the budget, which includes development, ongoing allocation of resources, approving expenses, and related management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 10+ years’ experience in Senior Management – Asset based transportation management ideal
  • Detailed knowledge of financial planning, P&L Analysis and margin improvement.
  • Ability to motivate, train, lead and evaluate performance of subordinates.
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to develop and present information professional to internal and external management/customers.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.
  • Must have very strong customer service skills with the ability to proactively find and source business related solutions.
  • Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and authority when necessary.
  • Must possess strong analytical abilities, organisational skills and communication skills.
  • This position is expected to travel approximately 50%-60% of the time.
  • A passport is not required but recommended.
