Global Mile is a team of highly experienced logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving the speed and reliability of Amazon’s cross-border logistics capabilities.

The Global Logistics Services team within Global Mile is responsible for executing the timely movement of freight from global manufacturing hubs cross-border into Amazon’s international marketplaces for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) sellers and retail direct import vendors. Leveraging the capabilities of world-class logistics providers and internal Amazon supply chain solutions, Global Logistics Services increases selection and lowers cost for our customers.

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst who will deliver research to drive insights and prioritization.International Logistics Operations Specialist, Global Mile Australia will be responsible for the performance of cross-border Carrier related transactions to Australia. The Specialist will facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders (Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses/Amazon Stakeholders) and proactively resolves any potential issues that impacts customer/vendor/seller experience and delivery performance by conducting problem analysis, researching & querying internal tools, making prompt judgement and through an effective communication with the stakeholders. In this role you will propose, manage, participate and implement global or local continuous improvement initiatives as well as stepped improvements. This role will also act as a shared service to provide a centralized data analysis and support to each Global mile Emerging Country, this specialist will be able to convert data into actionable business insights for the country operations teams. They are analysis expert who leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They ensures data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage daily queries and requests from Carriers and Internal Stakeholders leveraging internal tools and resources. Escalate to Amazon internal stakeholders as necessary.
· Identify any trend that are impacting or potentially impacts Customer/Seller Experience, deep dive and drive improvements in partnership with Global Mile, Amazon Australia and Carriers.
· Prepare weekly/monthly reports on Carrier related KPI metrics, analyze, identify outliers and engage with carriers to identify the cause.
· Provide volume forecast to carriers during peak season and as the systems become available in Weekly/Monthly Cadence
· Document and measure standard work within country and between trading lanes to improve reliability and predictability and performance measurement.
· Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements
· Influence and implement specified analytical approach
· Work with clients to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs
· Write queries and output efficiently
· Have in-depth knowledge of the data available in area of expertise
· Pull the data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization
· Cross-check pulled data against other published sources to determine fidelity
· Convert data to make it analysis- ready through basic descriptions, aggregations, and pivots
· Implement/deploy data visualization or communication tools (e.g., metrics dashboards, decks, flashes)
· Communicate clearly to stakeholders on project requirements and status


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 1+ years of supply chain, operations, logistics or inventory management
· 1+years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
· 1+ years of experience with MS Excel
· 1+ years of SQL experience
· 1+ years of experience developing mechanisms and measuring key operational metrics
· 1+ years of experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
· PMP/Six sigma certification
· 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
· Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
· Superior verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organizations
· Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders.
