JOB DESCRIPTION
Suburban Rail Loop is a city and state-shaping project that will transform Victoria’s public transport system, connecting Melbourne’s suburbs and creating opportunities in great places. The 90-kilometre Suburban Rail Loop will link every major rail line from the Frankston line to the Werribee line, via the airport, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. The project will trigger investment and renewal in the neighbourhoods associated with new stations. It will be constructed in stages across several decades, with Stage One (Cheltenham to Box Hill) delivering twin 27 km tunnels. This is a unique career opportunity to join a transformational city-shaping infrastructure project in its early stages and to help drive the best connectivity, liveability and productivity outcomes for Melbourne.

While reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, the position provides an opportunity for the successful applicant to work closely and interface with several functions within the broader Strategic Communications and Engagement Division including government relations, landowner and business engagement, and Initial and Early Works delivery.
The role is multi-disciplinary and will adapt and grow as the project progresses through its various stages, from planning to the delivery of Suburban Rail Loop – representing a unique opportunity to develop and advance your career in these early stages of the Suburban Rail Loop Authority.
The successful applicant should be excited by the opportunity to gain experience across the broad range of strategic communications and engagement activities, helping deliver the biggest transport infrastructure project in Victoria's history.
This role requires an ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a complex and demanding multi-disciplinary environment within tight timeframes. Applicants will need to be organised and able to work autonomously while also being an effective team player.
