Working closely with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, this role will be required to drive strategy and strategic planning processes, including setting, monitoring, reporting and reviewing the organisations strategic direction and managing integrated business planning outcomes. The Director, Strategy, Planning and Performance will be expected to support delivery against the organisations end-to-end enterprise performance management framework, including through the definition, development and reporting of the QBCCs performance internally, and to meet the Commissions statutory and external reporting requirements. Job details Position status Contract Position type Flexible full-time Occupational group Executive Classification SO Workplace Location Brisbane Inner City Job ad reference QLD/368069 Closing date 04-Apr-2021 Yearly salary Fortnightly salary Total remuneration Salary Other Job duration 3 Year Executive Contract Contact person Gemma Ledbury - u&u Recruitment Contact details 3232 9138 Access the National Relay Service Key outcomes and accountabilities The aim of this role is to: * Collaborate and consult with senior leaders to develop the strategic direction of the QBCC, ensuring it is positioned to focus on risks impacting the broader building and construction sector. * In conjunction with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, deliver high-level expert leadership, developing, managing and championing the strategic, corporate, and operational plans for the QBCC. * Engage with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer to establish the strategic planning themes for the forthcoming year, develop long-term strategy and set performance metrics for approval by the Responsible Minister and QBC Board. * Effectively identify opportunities for the QBCC to increase revenue and identify funding opportunities to support achievement of strategic objectives. * Provide expertise and commercially grounded advice to support engagement of the senior leaders to align the organisation's business units to the QBCC's strategy, planning and performance frameworks. * Develop and maintain strategic and productive working relationships through consultation, collaboration and networking with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. * Represent the QBCC with government partners and external industry forums, as required. * Lead the overall Strategy, Planning and Performance business unit in the delivery of best practice outcomes * Create a high performing team culture, characterised by discipline and process excellence, encourage a culture of continuous improvement and ongoing focus when providing high quality service to the broader QBCC organisation * Undertake other tasks as directed by the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.
