We are looking for a passionate Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Milton clinic in inner-city Brisbane, QLD for an initial 8-month contract, with a possible extension after that. This role involves conducting clinical research activities and ensuring that all research is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards, the Australian Safety and Quality Framework for Health Care and relevant Australian laws and regulations.

What you’ll do:

  • Attend Site Initiation Visits for allocated trials
  • Keep track of all trials being conducted in the state, particularly the protocol, investigator brochure, participant information and consent forms, budget, timelines and safety reporting requirements
  • Establish and organise study files, including regulatory binders and study specific source documentation
  • Work with the Lead CRC to develop and update patient recruitment plans and ensure recruitment targets and timelines are met
  • Work closely with the Lead CRC and Investigators to manage day-to-day research activities
  • Schedule protocol specific assessments and procedures according to Investigator availability
  • Liaise with and facilitate collaboration between relevant hospital departments and third parties to ensure the provision of quality clinical services
  • Prepare for and host site initiation, monitoring and close out visits
  • Maintain all study related documentation and ensure data queries are completed in a timely manner
  • Complete all study close out activities including archiving of records
  • Maintain open and regular communication with key stakeholders, in particular sponsor representatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice
  • Ensure all research is performed in accordance with guidelines and research specific protocols

Who you are:

  • Undergraduate degree in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy or related disciplines
  • 2+ years’ experience in nursing, science or research
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and Australian Regulatory guidelines Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards, the Australian Safety and Quality Framework for Health Care and relevant Australian laws and regulations
