Our client is a highly innovative, collaborative and customer focused product development company, looking for Electronics Designers for their engineering department on new product development. This iconic company has one of Australia's largest and fastest growing hardware and software development teams, using lean, agile and waterfall processes to develop internationally recognised products.

The Role

As an Electronics Designer, you will be supporting the testing protocols of the engineering team and assisting in getting best in class products to market, which will require attention to detail and the ability to follow and help shape testing protocols. This role will provide an insight into working in a fast-paced product development environment. The role will involve:

  • Designing and building a functional circuit prototype for projects and/or Applied-Technology

  • Conducting verification and validation tests for PCBA and small electrical appliances

  • Drafting testing plans, writing reports and maintaining OHS protocol

  • Conducting Failure Analysis for faulty appliances and PCBA

  • Selecting components, constructing Bill of Materials, preparing technical design documents

  • Preparing PCBA quotations

  • Working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers (travel overseas may be required)

  • DFMEA, PFMEA, DFx, Engineering Statistical Analysis, Manufacturing Capability Studies

Skills and experience

With a bachelor's or higher degree in an Electronic or Electrical discipline, you'll have:

* experience in an electronic/electrical industry environment

* knowledge of electronic circuit design and fault analysis

* Knowledge of schematic and layout design using Altium

* Knowledge of Arduino and/or software coding

* Knowledge of electronic and product manufacturing

* Knowledge of electronic and product compliance

* Logical thinker, ability to be organised and work to important deadlines
