GenesisCare is looking to fill the position of Nurse Unit Manager within their St Leonards Medical Oncology Clinic.
Alongside operational day to day management of nursing staff, the successful applicant will take a pivotal role in the transition of the clinic from the St Leonards centre into the North Shore Health Hub (located at 16 Frederick Street, St Leonards)

At the North Shore Health Hub, the Nursing Unit Manager will manage the nursing workforce for the following areas:

  • Medical Oncology
  • Haematology
  • Radiotherapy
  • Theranostics
  • Care Coordination
  • Team Based Consulting

As a skilled communicator, the Nurse Unit Manager will maintain open and effective communication with the nursing, medical, pharmacy, clinical trials and management team alongside all other allied health and craft groups within the business.

Work with the Centre Leader to implement efficient & effective Centre workflow and workload to ensure Doctors, Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Nursing and Administrative/clerical staff are effective and productive in their day-to-day roles

  • Drive quality initiatives

Who you are:

  • Registered as Nurse with AHPRA with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience
  • You will have demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
  • An exemplary communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • An experienced leader with the demonstrated ability to create an environment in which your team can develop
  • Committed to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Post graduate qualifications or experience in acute care, oncology, management or healthcare administration are desirable attributes
