How will I help?

An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader professional to join our Mortgage Operations Team within Group Operations, Property & Commercial Services.

As a Team leader you will be responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring a high performance team of 15 key members. Our Team Members are responsible for assisting and supporting the settlement activity for home loan applications, a key moment of truth for our customers.

You will be leading from the front by demonstrating a customer-centric approach as well as contributing and assisting with the delivery of the Westpac Group’s vision.

As a Leader, utilising current state data, you will also be accountable for identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities to improve process efficiency and create better customer outcomes.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Ensuring resource planning meets the needs of the customer and our business to ensure critical activities and service levels are met
  • Implementing and achieving key business led objectives and ensuring consistency of process and service experience across all channels
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders both internal and external to the bank
  • Identifying areas for process improvements and ensuring service levels are achieved
  • Driving and maximising operational efficiencies across the teams
  • Managing and motivating Team Members to implement and achieve business objectives and ensure consistency and compliance
  • Managing team performance, providing coaching and identifying training opportunities
  • Driving a strong risk management culture and ensure risk management principles are applied
  • Ensuring an inclusive and collaborative working culture within the team and Westpac Group colleagues.
