About The Role

In this newly created position, as the Principal – Operational Technology Strategy, you will lead the provision of Operational Technology (OT) strategies and roadmaps, business planning and technology solution assurance to achieve required business unit outcomes and objectives. Working closely as part of a multidisciplinary and collaborative team, you will be responsible for the development of technology roadmaps (short, medium and long term) in addition to supporting the development of OT Asset Management Strategies and Plans in alignment the Corporation’s standards.

Providing specialist advice and expertise in OT Systems and Technologies, including Control Systems and Internet of Things, you will manage the OT Business Plan in conjunction with the OT lead team, ensuring strategy and roadmap activities deliver successful programme activities.

What The Role Will Offer
  • Provide options and assurance into technology solutions and industry trends to Support the development and implementation of the OT Strategic Plan
  • Manage the relationships and internal processes to effectively engage with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the OT strategy and planning processes
  • Collaborate with the Section Manager to review and update the OT Strategy to support business performance
  • Manage effective and impactful communication, including facilitating executive level presentations.


Key Skills And Experience
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field e.g. Engineering, Science or related discipline combined with substantial experience in strategic planning and technology roadmaps within an Operational Technology environment
  • Substantial experience in Control Systems (SCADA), IoT, Infrastructure and Networking technologies, with an OT/IT focus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Asset Management principles
  • Able to present recommendations in a clear and effective manner to present to small and large groups and facilitate workshops
  • Successful background in technology related strategic and business planning
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework
  • A highly adaptable and excellent organisational, problem solving, and prioritisation ability with proven ability to analyse risk and develop mitigation strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to specify and communicate user requirements to other stakeholders
