About Your Role:

You will need to be a caring & committed occupational therapist, with a focus on quality care & building meaningful relationships with clients, helping them feel comfortable & confident so they can reach their goals. The purpose of this position is to provide a full range of services to clients. This includes the implementation and evaluation of effective strategies and programs for a wide range of conditions within the local community. The quality of the overall client experience relies heavily on this position due to its service focus and thus Occupational Therapists are an important aspect of the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, treatment/intervention and consultative services to NDIS participants and/or community clients.
  • In collaboration with the care participants and/or their representatives, develop individual care plans specifying the participant’s issues, goals, nature of interventions, and plan for review.
  • Goal centered home rehabilitation - acute and chronic conditions
  • Education and intervention strategies 
  • Aids and equipment prescription
  • Home modification 
  • Assessments of personal care 
  • Consult with care participants, their representatives, and clinical supports to ensure appropriate implementation of each person’s plan.
  • To work within scope of practice and experience level and seek assistance from the Operations Manager – Community and Additional Supports and/or your Regional Manager if requests arise outside scope.

You will have the following:
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational therapy
  • Valid Police Check
  • General AHPRA registration
  • Right to work in Australia.
