The Role
In this Full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for both establishing and maintaining data management, governance models and processes whilst also strategically designing data solutions that support Epworth's objectives. You will be part of the Solution Planning & Design team and report to Director - Solution Planning & Design.

You will make an impact by:

  • Establishing and governing an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities aligned to the Digitisation Strategy;
  • Rolling out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of Epworth’s sensitive data through modifications to organisation behaviour policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture;
  • Acting as a liaison between the various Business Units and IT to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive health data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning;
  • Ensuring data solutions are designed to meet the business objectives and goals whilst aligning to strategy including IT guiding design principles;

To be successful in this role…

You will have proven ability to work through complex problems to drive improvement of the organisation's data management capabilities. Experienced in providing specialist advice you will develop and manage relationships with both Technical and Business stakeholders. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for producing quality work.

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant Technology or equivalent work experience;
  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Architecture and Data Governance roles or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience in practical application of Data Architectural principles;
  • Experience in uplifting organisational data management capabilities;
