Your team

Information Technology Services supplies technology solutions and services to ASIC, internally and externally. We make use of the latest technology with an increasing focus on data and analytics which will make ASIC a 'best in class' regulator supporting the Australian financial markets.


Your role

As a Project Manager, you will contribute to the work of the Information Technology team by:

  • Managing cyber security and technology solutions delivery ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Cyber Security Strategy and Technology Roadmap
  • Using your experience to drive solution excellence that supports the Cyber Security and IT Programs' outcomes
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with IT Security, ASIC IT and ASIC stakeholders as well as external stakeholders where appropriate
  • Embedding the change utilising change management activities
  • Provide Project Management services for IT Security projects
  • Manage internal IT and external ASIC relationships with relevant stakeholders, project personnel and business units
  • Complying with the ASIC Project Management Method, which is based on PRINCE2, and System Development Method
  • Delivering projects within the approved KPIs: time, budget, scope, quality, risk, benefit
  • Providing appropriate reporting to relevant project boards, sponsors and stakeholders
  • Controlling the project using appropriate tools and escalating early to minimise risk to success
  • Identifying resource requirements, engaging and managing resources 


About You 

  • Minimum 7 years' project management experience, with involvement in large business critical systems and Australian Government IT projects being highly regarded
  • Experience in the management and implementation of enterprise-wide cyber security projects is required
  • Demonstrated experience with security compliance projects in a highly regulated environment such as PCI, Information Security Manual (ISM), PSPF or similar
  • Current formal qualification in project management: e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK.
  • Minimum 3 years' Agile delivery experience
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes
