A rare vacancy has arisen within our District Nursing service for a qualified and experienced Nurse Unit Manager. This opportunity offers the chance to work within our highly regarded, community focused organisation, providing leadership and guidance to our dedicated staff in a multidisciplinary setting and supporting clinical excellence in the provision of quality patient centered care.

Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive clinical experience and a commitment to performance improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and consolidate your managerial experience while enjoying the support of an enthusiastic and committed senior nursing team.

Required skills and experience include:


  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous Associate Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent leadership experience
  • Current Drivers License
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong focus on performance improvement with change management skills
  • Ability to direct a multi-disciplinary team environment


  • Relevant qualifications in Leadership & Management or working towards
  • Experience in working District, Palliative, Hospital in the Home or Community nursing
  • Post Graduate qualifications relevant to District Nursing.
