Family Violence Counsellor
Permanent Part Time - 8 hours per fortnight
Classification dependant on qualification & experience
West Gippsland Healthcare Group are seeking a Counsellor to assist in the provision of professional and evidenced based counselling and therapeutic interventions to improve the safety, emotional health, wellbeing and sense of empowerment for adults and children experiencing or recovering from family violence.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Degree in Social Work/Psychology
- Further study in Family Counselling and /or Family Violence
- Proven experience in casework, family, individual and children’s counselling
- Understanding of the MARAM Framework.
- A current Drivers licence is needed.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
