Roy Hill is currently seeking an Advisor Health & Safety, to join the team on an 8:6 roster, based at our mine site or Port & Rail facility.
Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Safety, the primary purpose of the role is to enable insight into changing shape of risk and facilitate action before people are harmed.

Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Safety, the primary purpose of the role is to enable insight into changing shape of risk and facilitate action before people are harmed.
Accountabilities will include:
- Provide evidence based technical and practical health and safety leadership and advice
- Facilitate processes and activities that create knowledge of the changing shape of risk
- Enable data driven decisions by accessing, interpreting and synthesising safety data and information, including academic literature
- Provide thought leadership and drive innovation on health and safety matters
- Collaborate with teams across Roy Hill systems and sub-systems to continuously improve the safety of work
- Facilitate the sharing important safety knowledge across organisational boundaries
- Hold a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
- Be genuinely curious about the safety of work in the mining industry
- Enjoy spending time in the field learning and connecting with the people doing the work
- Be driven to help continuously improve how work is done day to day
- Enjoy understanding and solving complex social and technical challenges
- Be an active listener and value diverse perspectives
- Collaborate enthusiastically with others
- Actively seek out deep functional expertise and embrace technology
- Be capable of working effectively across multiple legislative frameworks
