Roy Hill is currently seeking an Advisor Health & Safety, to join the team on an 8:6 roster, based at our mine site or Port & Rail facility.

Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Safety, the primary purpose of the role is to enable insight into changing shape of risk and facilitate action before people are harmed.

Accountabilities will include:

• Provide evidence based technical and practical health and safety leadership and advice
• Facilitate processes and activities that create knowledge of the changing shape of risk
• Enable data driven decisions by accessing, interpreting and synthesising safety data and information, including academic literature
• Provide thought leadership and drive innovation on health and safety matters
• Collaborate with teams across Roy Hill systems and sub-systems to continuously improve the safety of work
• Facilitate the sharing important safety knowledge across organisational boundaries

For you to achieve outstanding results in this position, your experience and attributes will include the following:

• Hold a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
• Be genuinely curious about the safety of work in the mining industry
• Enjoy spending time in the field learning and connecting with the people doing the work
