We currently have a fantastic newly created opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated IT Data Analyst to join our growing IT team at IntoWork Australia.

About the Role

As the IT Data Analyst you will be able to successfully gather data from various sources and business administration systems throughout the IntoWork Australia Group. Your success in doing this will be key in assisting with improvements in business performance and decision making.

You will also be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of database and data migration activities. This role requires a person who has a high level of analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and stakeholder management & communication skills in order to gain access to, interpret and fully utilise the information from Group. Strong Power BI experience will be essential for this role.

In the role you will also:

  • Map databases structures & tables between systems
  • Identify gaps in data integrity & ensure accuracy & logic in data sets
  • Gathering of information using various techniques i.e. interviews, workshops & business tasks & workflow analysis
  • Develop efficient reporting tools & workflows
  • Assist stakeholders in the interpretation of data
  • Ensure high level of data security & confidentiality
  • Develop internal IntoWork IT policy & procedures as required

About You

Your technical skills and knowledge combined with your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be key, as the quality of your stakeholder engagement and business relationships will ultimately determine the quality of the data and information you have to work with. Your ability to understand the project management lifecycle and your positive attitude and proactive approach to problem solving will also be essential for this role.

You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in i.e. mathematics, computer science, Statistics or IT
  • Post grad Qualification in specialised areas of Computer Sciences or Data Analysis ( highly regarded)
  • Platform Specific certifications in business intelligence tools & application (highly regarded)
  • Proven delivery of complex data analysis and migration projects either paid or academic
  • Strong (and proven) technical competency and understanding of Windows Active Directory environments
  • Solid experience in utilising applications and tools needed in specialised data analysis and migration work
  • An ability to deliver reports and extract data using Crystal Reports and equivalent technologies
  • Advanced understanding of SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Management Studio
  • Advanced capabilities in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced capabilities in presenting information using Microsoft Power BI
  • Ability to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail & time management
