The Role
An exciting opportunity for Speech Pathologists (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to be part of our casual pool to assist in delivering care to patients in acute and rehabilitation areas. We are seeking motivated and experienced clinicians to join our Allied Health team to provide clinical services for inpatients and outpatients in orthopaedics, neurology, oncology and medical/reconditioning. The role includes covering staff leave and assisting with increased activity within the hospital.

You will be part of the Epworth Geelong Speech Pathology team and report to the Senior Speech Pathologist (Grade 3). At Epworth Geelong the Allied Health teams are co-located in the one area which encourages interdisciplinary collaborative care, and enables problem solving and learning. We have a small and supportive Allied Health team at Geelong, and strong ties with our Epworth network in Melbourne enabling growth, education and clinical guidance from other Speech Pathologists and specialist roles.

You will make an impact by:

  • delivering a high standard of speech pathology indivdual and group based intervention
  • being flexible and complasionate to meet the changing clinical needs across the site
  • working collaboratively with peers to ensure individual needs are understood and met

To be successful in this role…
You need to be an experienced speech pathologist with strong communication skills and a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with your team, key stakeholders, patients and their families. You keep up-to-date with best practice and have a passion for enhancing the patient experience through innovation
