Qualified Service Technician
We currently have a full-time permanent position available for an experienced Harvester Service Technician
at our Mildura Dealership which services, repairs and maintains a large range of industry leading John
Deere equipment.

The Role

You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs of John Deere Harvester Equipment.
  • Performs in-field or remote setup and optimisation of John Deere Harvester Equipment.
  • Performs diagnostic, repairs and optimisation of Precision Ag Products.
  • Assists with the Pre-Delivery of the Harvester Equipment.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers and other Service Technicians.
  • Participate in John Deere training programs and maintain current knowledge on industry and John
Deere product information required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain good condition of vehicles, tools and equipment and a clean work area performing work
in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Complete all documentation required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Document all time and material used in performing assigned duties.

Essential

  • Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Stream Motor Mechanic/Fitter/Mobile Plant
Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • Previous experience performing harvester service, maintenance and repairs.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible (rostered weekend and on call work may be required).
  • Self-motivated, organised with attention to detail and ability to work within a team or
independently.
  • Strong customer service focus and work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Forklift licence.
  • Previous experience servicing agricultural machinery or John Deere machinery.
  • Previous experience performing service, maintenance and repairs on agricultural harvester
equipment.
  • Service, repair and maintenance experience in other fields willing to retrain may be considered.
