In serving a growing and evolving community, Stirling Libraries have a strong focus on connecting communities through place-based and digital services, social inclusion and community participation, literacy and lifelong learning, enhancing digital capacities, and strengthening staff capacity to deliver contemporary library programs and services.

Stirling Libraries are seeking an experienced and futures-focussed Branch Librarian who will effectively contribute to the ongoing strategic development of Stirling Libraries, as well as provide leadership in managing branch library operations to ensure the effective delivery of comprehensive, innovative community development and best practice library and information services.

Branch Librarians are appointed as part of the system-wide Branch Librarian Team, and may be required to work or transferred to work in any of the City of Stirling Libraries.

The Role

Our preferred candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their excellent interpersonal skills on a daily basis, through interactions with both colleagues and customers. You will have experience in managing the financial aspects of a library and will use your highly developed organisational, time and project management skills in ensuring the delivery of innovative and best practice library and information services.

Applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

Formal tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Science or equivalent, providing eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
Previous experience in a senior capacity as a Librarian, including staff management.
Highly developed organisation, time and project management skills
Well-developed reference and information seeking skills
Be at the forefront of current trends and best practice in delivering community development, and library and information services.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 7/8 Inside Workforce Agreement position attracts a salary range of $84,715-$98,639 gross per annum plus superannuation and fantastic benefits.
