JOB DESCRIPTION

Introduction

Embark on a journey to make a difference to the community by delivering clinical interventions, assessments and counselling to a wide range of MAX clients. This is a permanent part-time position based in Launceston.

The opportunity

  • Deliver clinical services through evidence based, individual and group interventions
  • Provide a variety of services including assessments that identify individual strengths, skills, experience and vulnerabilities in employment
  • Broaden your expertise through working with a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals such as Psychologists, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Counsellors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Exercise Physiologists
  • Play a significant role in the ongoing support of our customers once they secure sustainable employment

About you

  • Qualified Psychologist (eligible for Provisional or General Registration)
  • Provisionally registered Psychologists will need to organise their own external supervisors to meet AHPRA registration requirements
  • Clinical counselling experience of relevance to employment services is essential
  • Proven ability to motivate and genuinely engage with people
  • Solution focused therapeutic approach which links to vocational goals
  • Highly self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow and make a difference
  • Strong organisational skills with a flexible approach
  • An understanding of the role employment has in maintaining good mental health
  • Willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
  • Understanding of the Child Safety Principles and commitment to child safety and well-being, including having an understanding of children’s developmental needs and culturally safe practices
