We are currently recruiting a Graduate Project Engineer to commence with us on a full-time, permanent basis in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The primary focus of this role is to provide project engineering / project management expertise and support to the; Project Manager, Operations Manager and other stakeholders as required.

About the role;

  • Develop and maintain engineering plans and schedules ensuring engineering and design completion on time and within budgets i.e. within contractual and technical requirements
  • Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
  • Provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees by actively working with staff to achieve the safety policies of Zinfra and the policies of our clients
  • Provide technical support to the project team ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals and standards.
  • Define construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
  • Organising and directing site labour and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordination of site activities
  • Develop efficient communication between various project groups, as well as internal and external stakeholders

About you:

  • Relevant Engineering degree (Electrical)
  • Demonstrated experience working on distribution power projects in Victoria
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to interact with the client on behalf of Zinfra
  • Must be able to monitor on site safety, quality, schedule and project budget
  • Must have demonstrated experience in creating SWMS and HSEQ Plans
  • Experience creating daily quality checks (ITP’s and ITC’s)
  • Manage internal and external resources to achieve required productivities

Please note: You must possess a current Australian Driver’s Licence as travel between sites will be required.
