The role
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Network Engineer This role has a high focus on rapidly responding to and resolving Incidents, problems and requests to ensure availability and performance in the networking technology area of the organisation. You will be supporting all of CPA Australia’s IT networks and associated infrastructure on a global scale, as part of a small and dedicated technology team delivering quality service to the wider organisation. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned networking professional, who is interested in growth and development opportunities in other areas of technology including cloud and CRM based applications.
Key accountabilities
- Perform network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting to maintain network performance according to ITIL standards.
- Reduce operational risk and improve availability of the network by ensuring network access, monitoring, control, evaluation and documentation practices are maintained and adhered to.
- Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
- Ensure PCIDSS, DR and security requirements are considered during daily project activities.
Your experience
Essential
- Cisco switching and routing
- Cisco wireless infrastructure (WLC, ISE)
- 5+ years’ experience in an equivalent role, holding relevant technical certifications (CCNA essential, CCNP preferred)
- Palo Alto firewalls including Global Protect
- Monitoring platforms (Solarwinds & Netflow)
- Strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to consult with business stakeholders to understand their requirements from a networking perspective
Desirable
- Cloud networking (Azure)
- CDN technologies (Cloudfare)
- Cisco SD-WAN (Viptella)
- Load balancing (Citrix Netscaler)
- Cisco Meraki switching and wireless
- Web proxy (Zscaler)
