Description 

Salary: $62,000.00 per year with super

Responsibilities of Jewellery Designer 

• Formulate and Design prototypes of the jewellery, watch or other items to suit business and client requirement 

• Conceptualize the design and materials used in the jewellery item 

• Design jewellery and watches using precious jewels, metals and use various engraving, casting, and fabrication techniques. 

• Design jewellery prototypes for special customer orders or mass production. 

• Understand the customer and design requirement and constraints by consulting the business stakeholders and clients. 

• Detail the prototype and design specifications for mass production 

• Supervise the designing and manufacturing process to ensure the jewellery item meets the design pattern and specifications. 

• Recommending the materials, design, aesthetics and functional constraints and recommend options. 

• Prepare sketches, samples and designs for illustrations and approval from client and/ or stakeholders 

Desired skills include but not limited to : 

• Design techniques, tools, and principles used to make detailed technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models 

• Must have knowledge of material properties, design aesthetics and have the creativity to design unique designs 

Qualifications and skills required: Must hold a Bachelor degree level qualification 

Work Eligibility: 

• Need at least 3 years of work experience as Jewelry Designer. Applicant must have full-time work rights in Australia
