JOB DESCRIPTION

Talent International is currently recruiting for an Recruitment Consultant to work for one of our NSW Government clients. This position will be a 6 month fixed term contract directly with the client and will be paid an annual salary of $70,000 - $75,000 + superannuation. The position will be working across two sites- Matraville and Sutherland and working from home. 

We are looking for someone to start yesterday, so the priority on this one is pretty high! There will be an initial training/induction period (2 - 4 weeks) where they will be required to work onsite and then as required to attend meetings or scheduled interviews. Hours will be flexible between 30- 38hours per week (across 5 days) and we are open to hours being structured to fit the candidates lifestyle and our needs within our core business hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Purpose of the Role:

  • To deliver the end to end recruitment process for the organisation, collaborate and engage with managers, contribute to effective recruitment processes and work on related projects such as the review and update existing position descriptions and staff induction or engagement programs.
  • While this is not a high-volume recruitment environment, our industry brings unique challenges which will mean that the candidate will need to draw on their ability to blend traditional recruitment methods with innovative recruitment techniques..

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing and posting advertisements
  • Assisting in the scoping and preparation, of position descriptions
  • Liaising with suppliers (agencies)
  • Screening, shortlisting and preparing candidate recommendations for Recruitment Panels
  • Conducting preliminary phone interviews
  • Coordinating secondary interviews and participating in interview panels
  • Preparing interview guides and questions
  • Coordinating pre-employment checks
  • Preparing employment contracts, induction packs etc.
  • Coordinating onboarding and inductions
  • Candidate management
  • Assist in other areas of HR, during any down time

Essential Requirements: 
The suitable candidate will be a passionate recruiter and have solid experience, recruiting for a variety of roles at all levels across blue collar, white collar and management positions. More importantly, they will have a knack for finding the right person for the right role! They should also:

  • Have experience using various recruitment techniques, providing advice to hiring managers and creating recruitment plans
  • Have experience with end to end recruitment processes and preparing employment contracts and induction paperwork
  • Be highly productive and can get things done quickly and efficiently
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience dealing with/negotiating with external recruitment agencies
  • Have the ability to work in a close-knit team and also autonomously
  • Have strong organisational and planning skills
  • Hold a current driver's license
