At VisAbility, we have a long and proud history of providing services for people with disabilities, enabling them to do the things they love and live the life they want. We have two key areas that we specialise in, services for people with no or low vision, and children across the whole broad spectrum of disabilities. Today, we have over 160 staff and over 300 volunteers connecting, inspiring and supporting adults, children and families across Western Australia and Tasmania. The Role
This is a Full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position.

Working with people of all ages, particularly children with disability or developmental challenges, you will support the development of their communication skills, social skills and feeding abilities. You will provide them - and their families, with personalised early intervention support, advice and solutions that transform their lives. We work with all major funding bodies to provide individualised services according to client's needs.

Travel and carrying out work from home is a requirement of this role as we service clients across the Perth Metro area.

To Be Considered For The Role, You Will Need

  • A Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology;
  • Be registered as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) as approved by Speech Pathology Australia;
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills as this role requires you to work within an interdisciplinary team, external organisations and a varied client base;
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive, concise and accurate reports for client recommendations;
  • An understanding of person and family-centred practice;
  • Previous experience working with funding schemes such as the NDIS will be highly regarded.
