Job Description
The Project:
We are currently seeking applications from Quality Advisors to be a part of our team in the South Gippsland Area.
We are realigning the stretch of Highway between Koonwarra and Meeniyan, locally known as Black Spur. As part of this project we will be building a new section of highway to reduce the length from 3.4km to 2.3km, removing 9 sharp corners and building two new bridges over the Tarwin River.
Construction started early 2020, and is set to finish late in 2022
This is a great opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor.
Your Key Accountabilities For This Role Are
- Manage ITP preparation and submissions
- Coordinating the inspections of works and products with the construction team
- Attending Hold point/Witness Point inspections with Engineers and overseeing their release as required
- Managing the reporting of non-compliances and ensuring dispositions, remedial solutions and corrective actions are effectively implemented
- Work with Engineers to coordinate closure of NCR records
- Reviewing inspection reports, test records and the like, to ensure any actions are carried out as required
- Drafting of QA Alerts, QA Lessons Learnt reports and QA completion reports as required
- Monitor and coordinate closure of project delivery records and ensure completeness of records to Client requirements
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the requirements of the Project Quality Management System and systems for data, document and record management
- Assist in formatting and distributing the Completion Plan
- Maintain a detailed and current knowledge of the Completion procedures and Contract Completion deliverables
- Maintain productive relationships with the Project Team, client representatives, consultants and the community
- Coordinate, prioritise and report Red Line Mark-up completion
- Deliver completion documentation that meets the needs of relevant stakeholders
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Attend Major Road Projects Victoria and other stakeholder quality meetings
- Assisting Construction Area Plan and Work Pack development for Project Areas
- Weekly and monthly quality reporting
- Qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Compliance requirements
- QA survey procedures
- Contractual compliance requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Quality Surveying or Engineering
- Significant experience in a similar position having worked on major infrastructure civil or rail construction projects
- Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities
- High level verbal and written communication skills
