JOB DESCRIPTION

We provide construction and management services for all kinds of residential construction from single, double storey, high-end homes to multi-unit projects. The company is seeking an experienced BDM to manage and support our expanding business locally and focused market.


Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to increase the organisation’s sales pipeline. This person defines long and short-term organisational sales goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions and client business drivers.


Working Relationships

This role reports directly to the Managing Director.


Working Conditions

The Business Development Manager works partly in an office environment, however, will be required to complete client sales cycle visits, attend events and may be required to visit the construction sites on occasion. They generally work regular business hours, however, will be required to work outside normal business hours to attend functions and to meet company deadlines.


Key Selection Criteria

The role requires someone with a:

· Tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing

· Minimum of 5 years Sales / Business Development experience in a B2B environment

· Demonstrated capacity to build a strong network

· Construction background is preferable 


The ideal person will possess the maturity to rapidly build technical knowledge in and understanding of the construction space.
