About the role

A great opportunity has arisen in our Hunter network for a Trade Account Manager. Reporting to the Group Trade Manager NSW, this position is Glendale-based working across our Hudson Home Timber & Hardware brand.

You will have previous external sales experience at a Sales Representative/Account Management level or similar capacity. Your ability to build strong relationships in a B2B environment within the residential building industry will see you succeed in this dynamic role. Having a passion for outstanding customer service will result in delivering the required sales targets and KPI’s whilst adding real value to our trade customers.

You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with proven results in driving sales growth in a target driven environment.

A high level of verbal and written communications, great presentation skills and it is also a requirement that you are confident working independently as well as proactively within a team environment.

The right candidate can look forward to a competitive salary package which will be negotiated based on experience. The base package includes a tool-of-trade vehicle and the potential to earn additional incentives based on performance.

What you will be doing

  • Safety being part of our everyday culture
  • You will be responsible for communicating and representing the Home Timber & Hardware brand to our key stakeholders through sales meetings, training and industry events
  • Development and implementation of trade sales plans and initiatives
  • Effective management of a diverse Builder centric customer base
  • Analysis of sales and customer data to identify new opportunities
  • The ability to attract new customers in addition to growing existing business
  • Achievement of sales, margin and product mix targets

What you will bring to the role 

  • A sound business acumen with the ability to understand relevant financials
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are essential
  • Previous experience in a similar sales role
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Timber & Hardware market with previous experience in Timber, Plumbing and Building materials
  • A strong ability to develop and maintain B2B relationships and influence decision-making
