Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for our Fulfillment Center (FC). Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

Four key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your area.
· Review the work forecasts and determine your requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives.
· Partner with other Area Managers to balance labour ensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all of your goals.
· Support all safety programs and EHS compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
· Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and effectively utilise Lean tools
You and your team are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so that they can focus on their jobs.

In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at internet speed……innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Possess a degree from an accredited institution,
· Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams,
· You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
· You’re competent in two or more production or supply chain areas, with an impressive track record in a similar, fast-paced logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment,
· You possess the ability to manage details, establish and carry out root cause analysis, and then extract and analyse the data you generate,
· You thrive on change, and are willing to relocate if necessary
· You have excellent written and spoken English.
Please note you must be available to work on a 4 day on, 3 day off shift pattern over Monday-Sunday.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/ Manufacturing related discipline or MBA graduate.
· Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
